Miss Florence Honig, daughter of Mrs. B. Honig, 521 Maple avenue, became the bride of Stanley Staerk, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Staerk of Chicago and formerly of Glen Ellyn, at a simple wedding in the bride's home, Friday at 7:30 p. m. The Rev. D. Miner officiated. The Bride wore a pale blue suit and a large white orchid. Her attendant was Miss Joan Bunge of River Forest. Bud Honig, brother of the bride, served the groom as best man. A reception for 60 guests was held at the bride's home after the ceremony. Mis Jessie McKerrow of River Forest, and Miss Pat Hurtt of Davis Junction, were hostesses and Mrs. Marie Baumgarten of Glen Ellyn poured. The groom is a member of the Glen Ellyn police force.
Red roses and white carnations created the background for the marriage of Florence M. Honig, daugther of Mrs. Bernard Honig of 521 Maple street and Stanley T. Staerk, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Staerk of Chicago formerly of Glen Ellyn. The wows were read by Rev. E. D. Miner in the bride's home on February 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Florence wore a light blue suit and a strand of pearls. Her corsage was of white orchids. Miss Joan Bunge of River forrest, was the maid of honor. She wore a black and white checked suit with a corsage of gardenias. "Bud" Honig, the bride's brother served as the best man.
Mrs. Honig wore an afternoon dress of blue with a corsage of light pink roses. Mrs. Staerk wore a pearl gray street dress with talisman roses in her corsage.
Between forty and fifty guests were entertained at an informal reception in the Honig home following the ceremony.
Florence and Stan are now living at 521 Maple street, after spending their honeymoon weekend at the Palmer House.
They are both graduates of Glenbard and Stan is an officer in the Glen Ellyn police force.
